Martin and Marina's Bit
This stage generated loads and loads of photographs so it must be good. Once again, we enjoyed a mix of woodland and coastal walking. The bluebells were out in the woods, too.
We saw the controversial Verity Statue in Ilfracombe from a distance. We thought it looked most impressive. Not everybody approves apparently. Well we do, so there!
Lee Bay was particularly photogenic. The tide was out and uniform grey of the rock, with the blue of the sea and the sky looked amazing.

Derek and Lesley's Bit
Arriving at Combe Martin to walk the mere 13 miles to Woolacombe. This section took us through Ilfracombe where we found a lovely little café right on the route so we stopped to refuel ourselves.
The scenery on this section of the path is again absolutely wonderful as Martin's photos show.
SWCP has excellent signs - Photo by Derek |
With some nice tile finger pointers we continued our journey westwards.
